2909536 - Cryptic E-Mail Text Body While Receiving an E-Mail

Symptom

You receive an e-mail from the ByD or C4C System, but the e-mail text body is cryptic and the expected attachment is gone.

Environment

SAP Business for ByDesign
SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

Send yourself an e-mail and check the e-mail you received. The e-mail text is cryptic, while the attachment is missing.

Cause

Please check that your e-mail subject does not contain special characters such as @?!*&$£ etc.

Resolution

Remove the special characters from the e-mail subject line.

ByD Only: If you want to use an e-mail subject placeholder, it is valid if the placeholder is enclosed in square brackets "[]," which map to the form message field only.
