2911410 - BackupServer Error: 16219.10.0: A call to srv__waitfor_read() was interrupted by an attention - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • What do the following messages in the logs mean?

    • From Backup Server Log:
      Connection from Server myserver on Host hostname with HostProcid 12345678.
      Open Server Error: 16219.10.0: A call to srv__waitfor_read() was interrupted by an attention
      Open Server Session Fatal Error: 16310.15.0: srv__read_tokenparams: Fatal error while Reading PARAMS TDS for spid:

    • From ASE Server log:
      ReadFile error: status 73 (Connection reset by peer) vsn 1234
      nopen: accept, Software caused connection abort
      Cannot send, host process disconnected: hostname 12345678 suid: 71891
      nast_writeprep: invalid send count 0

  • Transaction dumps were hung and had to reboot ASE.
