2911586 - BI 4.2 SP08 install fails on SUSE Linux 15 with errors

Symptom

  • When installing BI 4.2 SP08 on SUSE Linux Release 15, install fails with errors.
  • ./setup.sh is executed, it throws following error:
    "Installation aborted. The following libraries are required to run the installer:
    32bit glibc package containing libc.so.6 (e.g. glibc-32bit-2.11.1-0.17.4).
    32bit libstdc++ package containing libstdc++.so.5 (e.g. libstdc++33.3.3.3-11.9)"
  • Install libstdc++33, it throws following error:
    'libstdc++33' not found in package names.
    No provider of 'libstdc++33' found.
