Symptom

  • An "infected with signal 11" error in the module karmall() together with a stack trace is reported in the ASE errorlog:

Address 0x0x0000000001e97343 (karmall+0x93), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x00000000002f5e8e)

  • The stack trace includes functions:

karmall        
upkill       
terminate_process         
quitfn
usrfill

  Note: A complete stack trace is available under Attachments.

  • This error may be followed by timeslice errors due a process impacted by Signal 11 not releasing a spinlock.
