2913014 - Signal 11 in treecpynames() caused by a query on a view - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • When running a query on a view
  • ASE errorlog reports an "infected with signal 11" error in the module treecpynames followed by a stack trace, for example:

    Current process (0x1a130286) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
    Address 0x0x0000000002018e88 (treecpynames+0x18), siginfo (code, address) = (1, 0x0x0000003d00000010)
  • The stacktrace includes the following modules:

    treecpynames
    cpynamelist 
    tree_copynames
    cpyresdom 
    cpynodes 
    cpyroot
    treecpy_withroot
    ApPlan::ApInit
    ApPlan::ApGatherXML
    CgpGlobal::CgpGenerate
    Optimize
    s_compile_stmt
