2913077 - Error 'Item &1 cannot be deleted, as WIP is available' when deleting an Item from a Sales Order - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

When you try to delete a sales order item, the following error shows up and the item cannot be deleted:

• Item &1 cannot be deleted, as WIP is available

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to app 'Change Sales Orders' and enter the sales order number.
2. Select the item and click delete button.
3. The error will occur and the item cannot be deleted.

In configuration step 102530, for assignment rule SFS  a G/L account is set as the cost element. However, it does not exist in the corresponding chart of accounts for the specified company code.

In configuration step 150001 ('Manage G/L Account Master Data') the following error is displayed:

• Account &1 does not exist in chart of accts &2 for specified co.code &3

Assign a G/L account that is configured in the 'Manage G/L Account Master Data' app (Configuration Step ID 150001) as 'Cost Element' to the chart of account maintained in configuration step 102530.
