Symptom

Performance or memory issues are experienced with a BW query which is defined on an Open ODS View. This InfoProvider is based on a transformation which retrieves the data from a DataSource or from a Virtual Table via SDA/SDI.

Possible memory dumps:

  • In the source system (e.g. APO system): TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED e.g. in "SELECT_DATA"
  • In the BW system: EXPORT_COMPRESS_ERROR, CX_SY_COMPRESSION_ERROR or EXPORT_TOO_MUCH_DATA
