2913873 - Unlabeled Reports does not get updated immediately - Report Center

In the Labels view in Report Center

• When I apply a Labels to report under the 'Unlabeled Reports' category, the report still shows up in the 'Unlabeled Reports' section
• When I remove all Labels from a report, it does not show up in the 'Unlabeled Reports' category

Both these changes reflect only after refreshing the page.

Note: This article is applicable only to the new Label functionality and UI changes (Reports vs Label) introduced in the b2005 release.

• Report Center

1. Login to the instance and navigate to Report Center
2. Switch to the 'Labels' view
3. Label an unlabeled report or remove the Labels from a labelled report
   1. Expand the 'Unlabeled Reports' section and apply a label to one of the unlabeled reports
      
      or
   2. Expand one of the Labels and remove all the Labels from a Labelled report
4. The 'Unlabeled Reports' section remains unchanged until the page is refreshed

The behaviour is expected.

Categorizing the items under the 'Unlabeled Reports' can happen only by going through all the reports, checking the assigned labels and collecting the ones that do not have a label.

For the 'Unlabeled Reports'  to be dynamic (updated on the fly), we would have to keep checking all the reports in the instance constantly and this is likely to have major underied performance impacts both on the server and the client (end user's browser).

Hence the change in such categorizing can be expected to be accurate only after reloading / refreshing the page.
