2913896 - Vacation Hours Do Not Show in the Recorded Employee Times Report

You have noticed that the hour amount of time recordings of type Vacation or Leave are not shown in the Recorded Employee Times report.

SAP Business ByDesign

Log in as an Employee:

1. Go to the Home work center
2. Access the Employee Self-Services view
3. Click the Leave Request link
4. Record a leave request with standard time type "Vacation"

Log in as a Time Administrator:

1. Go to the Time Administration work center
2. Access the Reports view
3. Open the report Recorded Employee Times
4. Run it for the above employee
5. The Vacation entries are shown, but hours are not recorded

The Recorded Employee Times (HCMTLMB07_Q0001) report will not show any hours recorded for time type categories Leave or Vacation. Hence, you see the recorded times for these time types as 0,00.

The underlying business object which holds the data of this report is designed such that the Quantity for the full day recordings, including recordings spanning multiple days, is not allowed to be saved in the business object. Changes to the business object's design would have severe impact on the performance of the reports.

Use the Employee Times: Overtime Overview report, as this shows the valuated results for each time recording and the hours will appear for all recordings.

1. Go to the Time Administration workcenter
2. Access the Reports view
3. Open the report Employee Times: Overtime Overview

You can also create a new report using the underlying MDAV of the Overtime report, which is HCMTLMU01. This MDAV will provide all the information that you require.
