2914605 - JCONNECT: stack overflow during driver initialization in Java 10 - Exception occurred: java.lang.StackOverflowError

Symptom

  • When using the listed jConnect packages customer runs into a recursion while initializing the driver leading to a stack overflow. During initilization of the DriverManager the constructor of the driver is automatically invoked. In the constructor of the driver the method DriverManager.getDrivers() is called. Since the initialization is not finished at this point it does start a new constructor with step 1.
