"Item "XXX" of type Custom Catalog Extension depends on object "XXX" of type SIA6" error occurs when checking a software collection in app Export Software Collection

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app Export Software Collection
2. Select the collection you want to export
3. Click on the "Check" button
4. Error message is displayed

The relevant application variants are not published yet. When creating an application variant from a standard application it is necessary to publish a new version of the application, even if this new version has only dummy changes.

Perform the following steps for the app variant:

1. Go to App Variant
2. Go to 'Adapt UI' in Me-Area
3. Make real or dummy changes in app
4. Click on Activate New Version 
5. Click on Publish 

Afterwards it should be able to see app variants in the Export Software Collection when clicking on "Add Items" and searching for the App Variant ID.

Follow the steps below to know App Variant ID:

1. Open the Original Application
2. Go to Adapt UI
3. Click on "App Variants" icon
4. Manage 
5. Under the App Variant line, click on the dropdown and choose "Copy ID"
