2914934 - FC- Error when running Windows client setup

Symptom

Installation of FC Windows client hangs during "Registering modules" process with one of the below errors:

  • Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Financial Consolidation\Apcom.Framework.Connection-win32.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147023782. Contact your support personnel.
  • MDAC 2.8 cannot be installed on this machine.
  • Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Financial Consolidation\CtWebUtil.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.
