Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Resolution
- When an email is sent to a wrong or non-existing email address, the email is bounced immediately.
- When an email cannot be sent to the recipient because of the recipient mail server not reachable or giving 4XX error, our mail infrastructure configuration does attempt to send the mail every One hour for a maximum of 3 days(72 hours) or 100 retry attempts, after which a hard bounce mail will be sent if the email still cannot be relayed to the recipient address.
