2917839 - You are unable to change the Guaranteed Holiday into Non-Guaranteed Holiday in your Holiday Calendar

You have changed a Guaranteed Holiday to a Non-Guaranteed Holiday through the Business Configuration Activity "Maintain Holiday Calendar." However, the system is not saving the modifications.

1. Navigate to the Business Configuration Work center.
2. Enter the Overview View.
3. In the Activity list, search for 'Working Day Calendar' and open it.
4. Click on the 'Maintain an existing holiday calendar' link.
5. Select your Holiday Calendar and go to the 'Select Holidays' section.
6. Choose the Guaranteed Holiday that needs modification and click on Edit.
7. Change the Holiday status from Guaranteed to Non-Guaranteed and carefully review and confirm the changes.
8. Return to the 'Maintain an existing holiday calendar' link and verify if the adjustments are reflected.

Note that despite making the change, the Holiday status remains as Guaranteed.

You cannot convert a Guaranteed Holiday to a Non-Guaranteed Holiday directly. If the holiday has already been applied in Employee Times, you have to delimit the holiday for the previous year and then create a new holiday with the desired status for the current year.

1. Navigate to the Business Configuration Work center.
2. Enter the Overview View.
3. In the Activity list, search for 'Working Day Calendar' and open it.
4. Click on the 'Maintain an existing holiday calendar' link.
5. Select your Holiday Calendar and go to the 'Select Holidays' section.
6. In the list of Selected Holidays, you will find the option to edit the Valid From Year and Valid To Year columns.
7. If you want to modify a holiday, starting from, for example, 2020, adjust the Validity of the existing holiday by changing the Valid To Year column to 2019.
8. Then, create a new Non-Guaranteed Holiday with the same name and set the Valid From Year to 2020.

By following this process, the holiday will be Non-Guaranteed from the year 2020 forward. Ensure a correction run is performed if the calendar changes are not immediately reflected. You can confirm the results by reviewing the work schedules in the Employee's Time files.
