2917935 - How to reprocess a failed Integration Center job that is triggered by an Intelligent Services event

Symptom

The execution of an Integration Center (IC) job related to an Intelligent Services Center (ISC) event has failed for a certain record and you need to reprocess (rerun) it.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
    • Integration Center

Reproducing the Issue

At the Execution Manager Dashboard, you see a failed job execution that was started by an ISC event.

Resolution

For IC jobs that are triggered by ISC events, the correct method of rerunning the integration is to reproduce the event that triggered the integration (see example below). Accessing the integration and clicking on 'Run Now' is NOT the correct approach, since it does not guarantee that the desired record will be output.

Example: the job is triggered whenever there's a change to an employee's Job Title and its execution has failed for employee X because of some network issue related to the integration's destination. After identifying the root cause and fixing the issue, you need to force a dummy change (such as adding or modifying a letter) to employee X job title again to cause the integration to run.
