2918153 - Unable to change sharing settings on Samples folder in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Since version 2019.Q3, SAP Analytics Cloud introduced one feature called Edit the sharing settings for samples to allow Administrators change sharing settings on samples that are installed by default
• However, only sharing setting of stories & models under Samples folder can be changed. It is impossible to change sharing settings of Samples folder self

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2020.2.19

1. Log on to SAC tenant with one user having Admin role.
2. Browse to Files > System.
   => Samples folder cannot be selected to change sharing settings.
   => It is possible to change sharing settings on stories and models under Samples folder.

• This is by-design.
• Currently, users are not allowed to customize sharing options for the Samples folder.

Workaround: create sub folders in the Samples folder, which you can set specific sharing permissions for different users. And move those objects into these sub folders.
