2919061 - Fixed Asset Class not Visible in the selection while creating a New Fixed Asset

You are unable to select the Fixed asset class for company PQR(Here PQR means Company id) while creating a fixed asset as the asset class is not visible in the selection.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Fixed assets Workcenter.
2. Go to the Fixed assets View.
3. Enter the Fixed asset name and select the company PQR.
4. The Fixed asset class does not appear in the value selection.

The company PQR is assigned to few sets of books and in the Fixed asset Valuation views activity there are many more set of books assigned. Hence all these valuation views should be assigned to the fixed asset classes required.

If you have multiple set of books for a company then all the valuation views associated with each set of books must be associated with the fixed asset class before it becomes available when adding a fixed asset for a company. You can check the respective valuation views in the below steps:

1. Go to the Business Configuration workcenter.
2. Select the Fine tune activity Set of Books.
3. Select the respective Set of books and click on Edit tab.
4. Go to the Fixed Asset Settings tab.

2.  Select the Fine tune activity Fixed asset class.
3.  Choose the Fixed asset class and assign all the Valuation views to the Fixed asset class and save.

After this you will be able to create a fixed asset with the company and the fixed asset class.
