Symptom
When configuring BSI TaxFactory integration from scratch (i.e., no previous working version), then executing the Payroll Driver (RPCALCU0 or RPCALCU0_CE), or the BSI Tax Calculation Test Program (RPUBTCU0) taxes are not calculated.
BSI message code “1200 THERE IS NO INFORMATION ON FILE TO PROCESS THE CA TAX. NO RESULT HAS BEEN CALCULATED…” or “NO INFORMATION ON FILE TO PROCESS THE XX TAX…” where XX is the code or Tax Authority or Tax Type you expected to calculate.
In the BSI TaxFactory client application, on the Mapping Tools page, you notice that there is no mapping for “Tax Types”, for example, “WITHHOLDING TAX”, BSI CODE = 001, does not have any value in the “Mapping” column where you would expect a value of “01” and so on for each of the Tax Types and running the Synchronize Payroll Tax Data tool (RPUPAYUS_SYNC_TAX_DATA) in SAP Payroll does not update said mapping.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
