Symptom
You want to create journal entries using webservice ManageJournalEntryIn and you are getting error message
- Business System XYZ not existing (XYZ represents the System Instance ID).

Reproducing the Issue
Step A)
Prerequisite: You have downloaded and installed the free SOAP UI tool.
Step B)
- Go to the Application and User Management Work Center.
- Go to the Service Explorer View.
- Show All Synchronous Inbound Operations, find 'ManageJournalEntryIn' and press Go.
- Highlight 'ManageJournalEntryIn' and press Download WSDL.
- Save the WSDL file.
Step C)
- Open the SOAP UI Tool.
- Press File - New SOAP Project.
- Enter a Project name ABC (where ABC is the SOAP Project name).
- Load the WSDL you downloaded in step B4.
- Hit the green Play Button.
- You can see an error message in the right window of the SOAP UI: Business System XYZ not existing.
Cause
The error message appears because of incorrect element -
"OriginalEntryDocumentReferenceBusinessSystemID". This element has to be filled with the value of System Instance ID.
Resolution
To identify the correct System Instance ID, follow the below steps:
- Go to the Application and User Management work center and here to the Communication Systems view.
- Search for the correct Communication System and press Edit.
- Go to the System instances tab.
- Here, you can find the System instance ID.
