2919277 - Error - Business System not existing

Symptom

You want to create journal entries using webservice ManageJournalEntryIn and you are getting error message

- Business System XYZ not existing (XYZ represents the System Instance ID).

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

Step A)

Prerequisite: You have downloaded and installed the free SOAP UI tool.

Step B)

  1. Go to the Application and User Management Work Center.
  2. Go to the Service Explorer View.
  3. Show All Synchronous Inbound Operations, find 'ManageJournalEntryIn' and press Go.
  4. Highlight 'ManageJournalEntryIn' and press Download WSDL.
  5. Save the WSDL file.

Step C)

  1. Open the SOAP UI Tool.
  2. Press File - New SOAP Project.
  3. Enter a Project name ABC (where ABC is the SOAP Project name).
  4. Load the WSDL you downloaded in step B4.
  5. Hit the green Play Button.
  6. You can see an error message in the right window of the SOAP UI: Business System XYZ not existing.

Cause

The error message appears because of incorrect element -

"OriginalEntryDocumentReferenceBusinessSystemID". This element has to be filled with the value of System Instance ID.

Resolution

To identify the correct System Instance ID, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center and here to the Communication Systems view.
  2. Search for the correct Communication System and press Edit.
  3. Go to the System instances tab.
  4. Here, you can find the System instance ID.
