2919282 - Error - G/L account ABC does not exist or is not permitted

You want to create Manual Tax Entries using Microsoft Excel and you are getting error - G/L account ABC does

not exist or is not permitted.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Click on VAT Entries view.
3. Click on New --->Tax Entry from Microsoft Excel.
4. Enter the data as per business requirement.
5. Go to SAP Business ByDesign tab and Logon.
6. Click on Save data to.
7. Here, you can see the error message - G/L account ABC does not exist or is not permitted.

In the excel template, you have entered the General Ledger Account. Actually, you should enter the Account
Determination Group for the corresponding G/L Account.

There are two options to identify the Account Determination Group.
A) In the Tax Management work center:

1. Go to Tax Management work center.
2. Click on VAT Entries view.
3. Click on New --->Tax Entry.
4. In the G/L Account field you see the list of Account Determination Groups.

B) In the Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination fine tune activity:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view and click Open Activity List.
3. Navigate to tab Fine Tuning.
4. Select the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
5. Click Edit Account Determination Groups.
6. Here, you can see 3 instances 1) Groups for Other Income 2) Groups for Other Current Assets 3) Groups for Other Liabilities under General Ledger.
7. In the right side you can see the Group ID and Column - Available in Other Transactions.
8. The Group IDs which are selected under the column - Available in Other Transactions can be used for to post the Manual Tax entries.
