2920423 - Job requisition is in progress status but cannot edit - Recruiting Management

Symptom

The job requisition is "In Progress" status and in the first step "Create Requisition", but it is currently with nobody and the Originator cannot edit it.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management (RCM) - All versions

Reproducing the Issue

1. Go to Recruiting

2. Open a Pre-Approved or Approved Job Requisition

3. There is no option to edit it and the Job Requisition is currently with nobody

Cause

The Originator sent the job requisition to a user who is either a route map approver or not by using the functionality "Get Feedback".

The name of the user will not appear in the audit log history. This is because the route map feature is not entirely under Recruiting Management and we are just using some of its parts, therefore we do not control what the "Get Feedback" option will do to the requisition when it is used. Also, it is currently not reportable, so there is no way to track it from our side.

Resolution

Ask the user who is supposed to provide a feedback on the job requisition to carry out following steps:

  1. Go to Recruiting
  2. Open the Job Requisition
  3. Scroll down to the section "Requisition Comments" at the bottom of the page
  4. Add a comment (optional)
  5. Click on "Send to [name of the Originator]"

The Job Requisition will be back with the Originator and it will be editable.

You can also disable the option "Get Feedback" in Form Template Settings in the Admin Center.

To turn this feature OFF, leave the option SELECTED/CHECKED:

Please note that Get Feedback is not supported in Recruiting, not in Mobile, nor in the Web application.
