2920560 - Additional Row with Empty Values is Created Automatically in Project Work Tab

You found that a duplicate row with empty fields got generated under work tab in the project screen which cannot be deleted.

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center
2. Select view: Projects
3. Search for Project: XXX (XXX refers to project)
4. Select Edit and navigate to Gantt Chart
5. Select respective task
6. Goto Sub-tab Work
7. You can find 2 rows for this task, one with the team member name and actual work details and a duplicate row where team member field is empty and disabled and other fields show 0. Delete option is also disabled.

The additional work package with empty employee has been created by the system when the purchase request has been created.

The purchase request has service agent Y (Y refers to a service agent), whereas the work package with employee has service agent Z (Z refers to a service agent)maintained.

So the existing task service did not fit to the purchase request, therefore the system created automatically one empty row; the automatically created work packages are always with empty employee.

Please maintain the correct service agent in purchase requisition and in the project work package so that there is no discrepancy and system does not create an additional work package.
