2920677 - Scheduled Inbound Integration ignores String Escape/Unescape - SAP SuccessFactors Integration Center

Symptom

When creating inbound integration and using double quotes to escape/unescape the field value. Inbound Integration removes double quotes correctly, but still deviate the CSV line structure.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Integration Center

Cause

The Inbound Integration interprets the commas within the field value as separator and therefore displace the structure of the whole line for this data.

This is a limitation in the Integration Center for inbound integration. If the sample CSV has more than 10 records and has commas in between fields, the fields will get dislocated even after providing double-quotes.

Resolution

To overcome this issue on preview, it would be recommended to have only 10 records in the sample CSV file (the total row count should not exceed 11).

The preview records will get aligned properly if using 10 records with double quotes for each field.
