2921106 - System termination when running controlling period end closing apps

Processing time taking too long and system terminated when running controlling period end closing apps. (Variance Calculation, Overhead Calculation, Order Settlement, Actual Costing...)

Execute controlling period end closing apps.

With foreground processing, the processing will be timeout after a period of time. (Normally it's around 11 minutes)

There are 2 modes for period closing activities - foreground processing and background processing.
Take Variance Calculation as example, for foreground processing it means to run with the App Run Variance Calculation.

For background processing, we need to use different apps.

For Product Costing jobs - App Schedule Product Costing Jobs.
For Overhead Accounting jobs - App Schedule Overhead Accounting Jobs.

There are different templates for different period end closing activities.
Using the templates, you can run the job in background. So there will not be timeout.

After the job finished, you can check the detail from the spool output.

Reminder: if you would like to run order settlement for production orders, please use App Schedule Product Costing Jobs - template Non-Parallel Accounting Actual Settlement: Production/Process Orders & Product Cost Collectors or Production Settlement in Parallel Ledgers (depending whether you would like execute with parallel ledger or not). Additionally, the same error can happen also for app Edit Costing Runs or Edit Actual Costing Runs.
For these 2 apps, you can set parameter "Background processing" in each step to enable the background run.
