2921168 - Unable to Modify Planned Hours in the Availability Calendar

You are unable to modify the planned hours for certain projects and for some resources in the availability calendar, because some fields in the availability calendar are grayed out. As a consequence, the project commitment is not evenly distributed over the whole project period.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Click on Resource Search view
3. Search for the relevant employee
4. Click on Show Availability
5. Navigate to the date 
6. Select the relevant period
7. Note: It is not possible to modify a certain project. But other projects can be modified.

You can try to reset the remaining commitment to evenly distribute the commitment over the project period in the following way:

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Click on Resource Search view
3. Search for the relevant employee
4. Click on Show Availability
5. Select the relevant project
6. Click on Reset Commitment

Note: It is important the select the relevant project. If you don't select the relevant project, the button Reset Commitment is grayed out.
