2921168 - Unable to Modify Planned Hours in Availability Calendar in SAP Business ByDesign

You are unable to modify the planned hours for certain projects and for some resources in the availability calendar, because some fields in the availability calendar are grayed out. As a consequence, the project commitment is not evenly distributed over the whole project period.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Open Resource Search view
3. Search for the employee
4. Click Show Availability
5. Select a date and project
6. Try to modify planned hours

The fields are greyed out and cannot be edited.

This is expected system behavior.

To update the planned hours, reset the commitment and redistribute it:

1. Go to Resource Management work center
2. Open Resource Search view
3. Search for the employee
4. Click Show Availability
5. Select the relevant project
6. Click Reset Commitment

Note:  If the project is not selected, the Reset Commitment option will be disabled.
