2921855 - EC: Restrict status change of Foundation object and MDF Foundation object when it is already in use

Restrict status change from active to inactive for Foundation object or MDF Foundation object (example location, divsion, department) when they are already in use and added in employee profile

SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Go to Manage Data > Department
2. Search for any department which is currently active and is added to one or more employee profile job information
3. Take action > Make correction > change status from 'Active' to 'Inactive'
4. Save
5. Notice validation in the system to throw error if department is already in use.

• As per system design there is no validation in the system to throw an error if a used Foundation object or MDF Foundation object is set to inactive.
• This validation is only available for Pay component object.

• If admin is changing the status of FOO or MDF FOO from Active to Inactive then they have to ensure that it is not in use in employee job information.
• We encourage you to submit an enhancement request to have this functionality considered within future development cycles. please follow KBA Article #<2090228> on “How to submit an enhancement request”.
