2921971 - Unable To Select Standard Fields for Event Notification

You are trying to set up event notification for a determined standard field that is part of a standard business object in the Cloud for Customer environment, but cannot find this field for selection.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Administrator work center.
2. Access the General Settings work center view.
3. Under the System Administration section, access Event Notification.
4. Click Add to create an Event Notification.
• If you already have event notification created, proceed to step 6.
5. Select the Type, add the relevant information and click Save.
6. Select your created event notification and under Subscriptions, click Add.
7. In the Business Object field, select the desired object.
8. In the Node field, you can't locate the field you wish to use.

The Node field is meant to select the node from the business object that will trigger an event notification, not a field.

For example, if you select business object Leads, node Item and set the Updated toggle to Yes (meaning, to trigger a notification in case of updates), anytime an update is done to any attribute of the Item node on a lead will trigger an event notification.

To drill down to the field level, you have to select the node in which the desired field is located, then set the Field Changed toggle to Yes. This action will enable additional selection to configure notification dependent on field changes. Currently, the functionality is restricted to status value changes at the business object's root level.

Please note: if notifications for any of the other actions (Created, Updated and/or Deleted) are toggled on for the subscription, it will not be possible to toggle the notification for Field Changed. Please toggle off the notification for these actions or create a separate subscription for enablement of the Field Changed notification.
