2923975 - Error: "Language XXXXX not scoped" While Migrating Fixed Assets

Your requirement is to migrate the Fixed Assets in your system. During the Simulation, system throws the error:

Language XXXXX not scoped

where XXXXX represents the language

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter
2. Go to Overview
3. Find the activity Migration of Accounting Transaction Data
4. Select Open
5. Select Migrate accounting transaction data using the migration tool
6. Select the Migration Unit for Accounting Transaction Data
7. Choose Execute Migration
8. Select the Migration Object Fixed Assets and choose Upload File
9. Browse for the migration file and select Upload
10. Select Process File
11. In the Simulation step, system throws the mentioned error

The respective language is not scoped in Business Configuration work center.

There are two types of language settings in the Business ByDesign system. The login language which is scoped in the project scope and Additional Communication Languages. Your solution is delivered with a fixed number of languages for logging on to the system. To communicate in languages other than the logon languages chosen during scoping, select from the list of available communication languages. The system then supports the translation of certain texts on system UIs and printed forms into these allowed communication languages.

To resolve the issue, scope the Additional Communication Languages using the below steps:

1. Go to Business Configuration workcenter
2. Go to Overview
3. Find the activity Additional Communication Languages
4. Select Open
5. Scope the respective language by selecting the Language is Allowed checkbox
6. Save and Close

Now you may proceed to migrate the Fixed Assets using the migration tool.
