2925629 - Error B1536: Migration of Material

Symptom

While performing the migration for the object Material below error occurs;

"Currency amount XXXX in field MOVING_PR could not be converted"

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open App “Migrate your Data”.
  2. Go to the relevant migration project.
  3. Select the Migration object ‘Material’.
  4. Upload the migration template and then click on Activate.
  5. Click Start transfer.
  6. Perform the Validation phase followed by the Convert Values phase.
  7. Then Simulation phase.

Cause

In the migration template, more places behind the decimal point have been transferred than allowed for a particular currency.

For example: In the migration template, decimal value for the field moving average price has been provided although the currency maintained for a plant in the system supports 0 decimal places.

Resolution

Check the settings in the SSCUI 102179 (Check Units of Measurement) to know the decimals places allowed for a particular currency and fill the Migration template accordingly.
