2925693 - Error 2057, Level 12, State 0: Incorrect syntax with the keyword 'stage'. - SRS 16.0

Symptom

  • Getting the following error when setting up HADR:

Msg 2057, Level 12, State 0:
Server 'SEC_REP':
Line 1, character 30: Incorrect syntax with the keyword 'stage'.

  • This error is reported when creating a database connection to an ASE database as:

create connection to SEC_ASE.stage
set error class rs_sqlserver_error_class
set function string class rs_sqlserver_function_class
set username to user_maint
set password to 'xxxxxxxxx' with log transfer on

  • Receiving the same error when trying to create this connection manually.
