2925720 - automatic_startup for full database encryption of sybsecurity fails with Errors 15497 and 975 - SAP ASE 16.0

Symptom

  • The sybsecurity database is configured for full database encryption.
  • Enabled unattended start-up mode for sybsecurity.
  • The sybsecurity database fails to recover with following error messages:

Error: 15497, Severity: 16, State: 1
The password for the master key of database 'master' has not been set.
Error: 975, Severity: 17, State: 1
The database 'sybsecurity' is encrypted.
Unable to proceed with the recovery of dbid <31515> because of previous errors.
***** WARNING: AUDITING CANNOT BE ENABLED DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH THE SYBSECURITY DATABASE. *****
