2925726 - javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Metaspace using CMC/BI Launchpad

Symptom

  • When navigating around Central Management Console (CMC) or BI Launchpad (BILP) the following error is seen:
    HTTP Status 500 - Internal Server Error
    "javax.servlet.ServletException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Metaspace"

  • Tomcat gc logs also indicate an out of memory error occurred.
