2926358 - Android devices cannot open .pptx and xls / xlsx format file in Profile pages in SuccessFactors mobile app [SF MOB]

PPTX, XLS, XLSX format files are not opening in Profile Page blocks on Android devices

• SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Mobile

1. Use Mobile app and navigate to Profile Page
2. Open a block which contains .pptx, .xls, .xlsx format attachment
3. User will face error like: "Install application/ms-powerpoint application to view the file." or "Install application/ms-excel application to view the file.". This is even after the user installed Microsoft Powerpoint / Excel Applicaton in the Mobile Device.

This is an expected behavior. SF mobile app currently does not support opening Powerpoint and Excel files in Android devices.

iOS devices can open pptx, xls and xlsx files fine. This capability is provided by the iOS system, not by the SF mobile app.

If the desired business functionality of supporting app to open pptx, xls and xlsx file is important to your organization, please consider creating an enhancement request.
