2926844 - Error "Data source XXX was not found in system YYY"

In Analysis Office tool, the user searches for an InfoProvider. For example: "ZABCXYZ".
In the result list, the InfoProvider is shown with an exclamation point like "!ZABCXYZ".
When executing the InfoProvider, the user gets the error "Data source !ZBGADNRPR was not found in system <SID>".

In RSRT transaction, the InfoProvider can be executed with the exclamation (e.g. !ZABCXYZ) without errors in ABAP BICS mode and even in Analysis Office.

Analysis for MS Office

1. Start Analysis Office;
2. Search for InfoProvider (e.g. ZABCXYZ);
3. Confirm the InfoProvider is shown with an exclamation point (e.g. !ZABCXYZ);
4. Try to run the InfoProvider and confirm the error below:
   "Data source !ZABCXYZ was not found in system SID"

The issue is caused by the metadata search, which is not implemented correctly in the BW system. As a consequence, the issue occurs when the InfoProvider is searched and executed from Analysis Office tool.

Make sure that the following SAP notes are implemented in the BW system and the manual post-implementation steps are followed:

• 2767648 - TLOGO object DELE is not available in BW search
• 2809494 - Search for (default) queries does not return any InfoAreas in result
• 2839014 - BW HANA based Fast Search
• 2773965 - Error message RSO801 'Logical transport object XYZ... not found in table RSTLOGOPROP'
