2926912 - Database connection information provided does not have a valid format when pointing the CMS to HANA DB

Symptom

  • When trying to add a new node, or point an existing node to a HANA DB in Central Configuration Manager (CCM), the following error is encountered after providing username and password
    SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: The CMS system database connection information provided does not have a valid format. Please check that the CMS system database connection information is correct. (FWB 00090)

  • In the SvcMgr traces (CCM logs) the below error is seen:
     

    DatabaseSubsystem::Connect()
    assert failure: (DBConnectionInfo.cpp:193). (0 : Missing PWD name from database connection string).
    DatabaseSubsystem::Connect(): 0
    (dbutils.cpp:1441) Caught DatabaseSubystem Error: SAP BusinessObjects BI platform CMS: The CMS system database connection information provided does not have a valid format. Please check that the CMS system database connection information is correct.
