2928006 - New browser extension "SAP Enable Now, desktop application recorder" for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

Symptom

  • With SAP Enable Now (SEN) release 2305 there comes a new Browser Extension called "SAP Enable Now, desktop application recorder”.

    • Note: This is the new and renamed version of the "Enablement Assistant" extension which was introduced in release 2005, see:

      KBA 3367722 List of Renamed Extensions for SAP Enable Now

  • This new additional extension supports Microsoft Edge browser for recoding and SAP Companion for desktop (Formerly Desktop Assistant) playback.
  • The release 2305 and all newer will work only in combination with the new browser extension "SAP Enable Now, desktop application recorder”.

REMARK: "Enablement Assistant" extension and the "SAP Enable Now, desktop application recorder" cannot be used together
