2928825 - jConnect: PreparedStatement executing Stored proc errors with 102 Incorrect syntax near '<procedure name>' or 7332 The untyped variable ? is allowed only in in a WHERE clause or the SET clause of an UPDATE statement or the VALUES list of an INSERT statement - SDK for SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A stored procedure is executed by using java.sql.PreparedStatement and DYNAMIC_PREPARE connection property is true.
  • Even though the stored procedure is done successfully and the client application does not raise any error, you may see a 102 error or a 7332 error in audit records.
  • You will also see a 102 error or a 7332 error when you trace communication between ASE and the client application by Ribo.

Error 102, Severity 15, State 181
Incorrect syntax near '<procedure name>'.

Error 7332, Severity 15, State 1
The untyped variable ? is allowed only in in a WHERE clause or the SET clause of an UPDATE statement or the VALUES list of an INSERT statement
