2930519 - Inactive/Hidden Competencies are Visible in the Newly Launched Performance Form - Performance Management

• Custom Competencies that have been set to inactive/hidden are still pulled into newly launched forms.
• Core and Job Specific competencies that have been set to inactive/hidden are NOT pulled into the new form.  
• There is a difference in behaviour when inactivating/hiding Job Specific Competencies, Core Competencies and Custom Competencies (hardcoded on the form).

SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. In Manage Templates > Competency section, define a Custom Competency:
   
    
2. Save the template changes
3. Go to Manage Center of Capabilities > Competencies > select Competency > click Edit
4. Select the "Inactive" status and save
5. Launch a new form
   
   The custom competency that has been set to Inactive status is pulled into the new form:
   
   
   
   
6. Go to Manage Templates > select the custom Competency section
   
   The Custom Competency is still defined in this section:
   
   
   
   However, when you click to modify, the inactive Custom Competency is no longer visible or available to select:
   
   
   
   While the Custom Competency may no longer be visible in Manage Templates or available to select, it is still hard-coded on the Performance Form Template XML.
   
    

Custom competencies are hard-coded into the Performance Form XML template without status.

• The custom competency defined in the Competency Section in Manage Templates must be removed, and the template re-saved.
• Changing the status of a custom competency that is still configured in the Form template will not impact new form launches i.e. the hidden competency will still be pulled into the new form.  
  Note: The custom competencies will not be displayed for future cloned form templates, only for the current configured form template in the newly launched forms the custom competencies will be displayed
