2930698 - Custom UI5 app fails to load from Fiori Launchpad with the error "App could not be opened..."

Symptom

  • Popover error when trying to launch custom UI5 app from Fiori Launchpad tile
    • App could not be opened because the SAP UI5 component of the application could not be loaded.
    • Failed to load UI5 component for navigation intent "<customNavIntent>"
  • Checking the browser network log you find 403 response codes for resources from your app path:
    • http(s)://<hostName>:<port>/sap/bc/ui5_ui5/sap/<customAppPath>
