2930772 - Error "Unable to write Data Replication Requests" Occurs When Replicating Employees from SF EC to ByD

You are trying to replicate employees from Employee Central to SAP Business ByDesign, and the following error occurs:

"Workpackage execution ended with errors"

"Unable to write Data Replications Requests"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Master Data Replication work center.
2. Enter the Replication Runs view.
3. Select the respective application log.

Here the error is displayed.

The issue might be due to incorrect data setup for some of the employees in the system. If you try to Upload Data from Employee Central for these employees, you can see issues such as Replication of Supervisor/Managers for these employees missing.

When you open the Replication Request file, you could also notice below issues under Organizational Assignment Tab:

• Duplicate Entry for Reporting Line Units
• Overlap in the Validity Periods for Org Units

This data setup (Overlap in Employment) is not supported scenario for Replication to Business ByDesign.

Another scenario that can lead to this error is that the employee replication is being performed before the Reporting Line Unit replication. In case you are replicating employees that are managers, this will not trigger the creation of a Reporting Line Unit, and will cause this error since the function is not yet defined in the organization structure.

The data needs to be corrected in the connected EC system. Please replicate Supervisor/Manager files and then replicate the employees again.

Also, the replication of Reporting Line Units needs to be performed before the replication of employees with management roles. Please check the documentation in the "See Also" Section.
