2931249 - Error Message Received When using Transport Management with Reports or Data Source analytical objects

When you try to upload the XML file which contains Extension Fields or a custom report via Transport Management, you might get an error.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Administrator work center > Transport Management and create New Transport Request
2. Provide Transport Request Name > Save and Open
3. In Transport Objects tab Click on Select under Available Transport Objects and Select Transport Object type Analytical Content
4. Then click on Add Selected and this will add the object selected to the Selected Transport Objects section below. .
5. After saving it, one of the following error messages appear: 'Unexpected Error' or 'Data type of data source field XYZ is not available' (XYZ represents the data type name).

This import error is due to the content incompatibility in your XML model file. The template file contains customer or partner created Extension fields, which are not supported by the standard Key User Analytics tool.

Upload is failing as the referenced extension fields (Partner/KUA) present in source system are not present in target system. Export and Import Layout feature is not supported in SAP Business ByDesign. Only PDI fields can be transferred to any other tenant by deploying the solution, while KUT created fields cannot be exported.

The PDI solution download/upload should be done from source system to target system first via PDI studio. After that, KUA report/data source upload to target system should work fine.

In order to figure out if there is one or more extension field in the content for the customer file model, it is necessary to open the XML code and seek the following term:
