2932068 - Warning: "Some of your changes can't be published because of data locks. Those changes will be lost" in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

When a standard planner user in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) publishes data after running a data action (on locked data), the following warning appears:

• "Some of your changes can't be published because of data locks. Those changes will be lost.".

This warning does not appear for a user with the Admin role or the model owner.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

1. Create 2 users, one with the Admin role and one with a planning standard role.
2. Lock some data in the model.
3. Run a data action.
4. Publish data with the first one to a public version, you do NOT get the warning message.
5. Publish data with the second one to a public version, you get the warning message.

By design behavior.

• Data locks do not apply to users with the Admin (Administrator) role, or the user who created the model.
• These users can always publish their changes to public versions, even if they affect locked data: See Configuring Data Locking.
