2933622 - SAC Topic Filter not working in Digital Board Room

Symptom

Topic Filter in Digital Board Room edit mode does not respond

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

Pre-requisites:

  • SAML SSO setup is configured between SAC and HANA

Steps:

  1. Create a Story based on HANA Direct connection.
  2. Create a Digital Board Room based on the story
  3. Edit the Digital Board Room that was created and try to add a "Topic Filter"
  4. Topic Filter does not respond, nothing happens

Cause

This is a product limitation.

Resolution

In boardroom edit mode, there is no initialization for remote connection.If there is no existing remote session established already, opening boardroom in edit mode will fail to load topic filter that is defined under remote data source.Open the Board Room first to establish a remote session, at this point editing the Board Room can load metadata thus topic filter info can be displayed
