Symptom
When you copy opportunities which have their price value entered by a user manually or an external pricing tool, this price value will not be copied into the new opportunity.

Cause
Copying of opportunities is enhanced so that for products the “Negotiated Value” is copied if in the existing opportunity the “Negotiated Value” is different to the “Proposed Value”, i. e. if the “Negotiated Value” was not defaulted by the internal price calculation but set manually (by a user or an external pricing tool). As the header value is the sum of the product values, copying the product values leads also to the expected value on header level.
Resolution
Our development is planning to change this within the 2008 release.
As this is a change in processing logic, this change will be delivered and rolled-out with release 2008.
