2934489 - Warnings on software collection check

• The Export Software Collection Check includes many warnings related to Custom CDS Views including many similar to the following:
  • Field <fieldName>: Data type CHAR has length nnnnnn greater than max. Chavl length (250)
  • Association <associationName> is not available 

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• With the upgrade to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2005, additional checking has been added to the Export Software Collection app for Analytical Custom CDS Views (both Cube and Dimension Scenarios)
• These messages are strictly warnings informing that there MIGHT be a problem - action does not need to (and in some case cannot) be taken to address the warnings
• For the specific message types:
   
  • Field <fieldName>: Data type CHAR has length nnnnnn greater than max. Chavl length (250)
    • The Analytical Engine supports strings with a maximum length of 250 characters
    • Strings longer than 250 characters will be truncated
       
  • Association <associationName> is not available
    • Some data will not be available in an Analytical report derived from the Custom CDS View (e.g. Custom Analytical Query
    • To resolve the issue, the associationName (usually defined in the primary data source of the Custom CDS View) needs to be included in the Custom CDS View
