2934672 - No Cost Center Assignment in New Purchased Fixed Asset

Symptom

Cost center is not assigned in the newly purchased fixed asset.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Fixed Asset work center and Fixed Assets view.
  2. Open Fixed Asset BBB and click on View All. (BBB Stands for Fixed Asset ID.)
  3. Go to Master Data--Basic Data, no cost center information there.

Cause

Cost center is removed in purchase order since it is not a mandatory information in purchase order. Therefore, the corresponding fixed asset has no cost center.

Resolution

It does not work if you cancel goods receipt and post a new one, either you cancel purchase order and creat a new one to have the same individual material in account assignment in the purchase order.

You can manually add an assignment interval in fixed asset directly to assign cost center to fixed asset BBB.

  1. Go to Fixed Asset work center and Fixed Assets view.
  2. Open Fixed Asset BBB and click on View All.
  3. Go to Master Data--Basic Data, add a new assignment interval of the responsible cost center.
