How to update candidate's start date during Onboarding?

Resolution

Scenario 1: How to update candidate's start date in RCM after ONB initiation?

Steps:

  1. Cancel the existing onboarding process
  2. Update the start date value in RCM
  3. Re-initiate onboarding for candidate

Apart from the above-mentioned method, none of the other methods are acceptable. 

Scenario 2: How to update candidate's start date if candidate is before Manage Pending Hires?

  • Start date must be updated via Dashboard > Action > New Hire Data.
  • If the new start date must be reflected in any completed task or form, the onboarding process must be restarted for candidate.

Scenario 3: How to update candidate's start date if candidate is in/after Manage Pending Hires?

  • Centralized services is enabled in the system.
  • If candidate is in MPH, start date can be updated in MPH screen.
  • If MPH step has been completed, start date can be updated via the Hire Date Correction tool (KBA2636395). 

Scenario 4: Is there a way to change the start date on documents/forms after they are signed?

  • It is not possible to change the start date value afterwards.
  • In order to update candidate's start date in this scenario, it's necessary to restart onboarding so that the E-signature step can be triggered again with the updated start date value.

Scenario 5: Is it possible to modify the target date manually directly from "Manage Data > Process > ONB2Process Object"?

No. Please do not make manual modifications on object at will.
