2934915 - Custom Field Value From Offer Disappears When Sending It For Approval - Recruiting Management

A custom field value which is coming from the Job Requisition or Job Application disappears when sending the Offer Approval to approvers. After that, the value cannot be reported or seen by any other approver in that Offer.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Create an Offer Approval for an applicant.
2. Check that the value of the affect field is showing fine.
3. Send the Offer to the first approver.
4. Notice that the field value will disappear.

There are 3 possible causes for the described behavior:

• CAUSE #1: The custom field is configured twice in "Configure Reportable Custom Fields" on Provisioning.
  
  • The custom field is being configured for two or more field types. For example, the custom field is a picklist type field and in "Configure Reportable Custom Fields", the field was defined on Picklist type and also Text type.
  • This causes an inconsistency on the system and the value will disappear while sending the Offer for approval.
• CAUSE #2: The field is configured under the wrong field type in "Configure Reportable Custom Fields".
  • For example, the field type is "text" but the field is configured under the picklist section or number section in "Configure Reportable Custom Fields"
  • This will only happen with custom fields, as standard fields don't need to be make reportable. Field types are not determinate, so it may occur for some but not for others types.
• CAUSE: #3: The field-type attribute has been changed to another type.
  • The field-type in the source template has been modified.

For CAUSE #1 and #2:

• Remove the misconfiguration by adding the custom field only once in its respective type. Provisioning access is required.

For CAUSE #3:

• Changing the field-type on an existing field it's NOT advised.
