2934966 - Unable to Migrate Product Specifications with Product Properties Values

You would lik to migrate new product specifications with the product properties values, but in the migration template for product specifications there is no option to migrate product properties.

2. Click on Overview view
3. Search for Migration of Product Specifications
4. Click on Change Immediately
5. Click on Migrate product specifications using the migration tool
6. Click on You can also
7. Download migration template

The product properties are mapped to a product using the product model. Then product properties are assigned to a product model that in turn is used as a basis for a product specification. For each product one product model can be created. This specifies that the product can have different product properties. Basically, the product specifications and the product models are two different objects. In the UI, when creating a product specification and when entering the product, the corresponding product specification field appears in the UI if a product model exists. This is a dynamic process and cannot be done in the migration template. The value of the fields for the product properties cannot be migrated in the migration of product specification and those fields cannot be added in the migration template.

You need to migrate the product specifications and then enter the values for the product properties in the UI. There might be an option to develop a custom solution for it, because the business objects PRODUCT_REQ_SPEC_TEMPL (product model) and PLM_PROPERTY_ID_VHP_CO (product properties) are released and public write enabled.
