2935016 - Signal 11 in kbfalloc() when querying monDeviceSpaceUsage - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A process running a query on the monDeviceSpaceUsage MDA table is terminated.
  • An "infected with signal 11" error in the module kbfalloc() followed by a stack trace is reported in the ASE errorlog:

Current process (0x9d004f) infected with signal 11 (SIGSEGV)
Address 0x0x000000000302d1bc (kbfalloc+0x655), siginfo (code, address) = (128, 0x(nil))

  • The stack trace includes functions:

kbfalloc 
ubfallocf
mda__init_FSList 
mda_populate_monDeviceSpaceUsage
mda_exec
